Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern GC Group Ltd relationship with you in relation to this website.

The term “Crest Self Storage” or “us” or “we” refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is G.C. Group T/A Crest Self Storage, Unit 10, Springkerse Trade Park, Craigleith Road, Stirling, FK7 7GN, Company Number: SC586795. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of our service/website.

The use of this website and our services are subject to the following terms of use:

Agreement between Crest Self Storage and our customers

We agree to grant you, and you accept, a licence to use and access the room identified as your storage room, on the conditions set out below. We urge you to read these conditions carefully before signing the storage licence. All such conditions will be binding on your signing of the agreement. Without prejudice to the importance of you reading all such conditions please acknowledge that you have read the conditions which are referred to below. This licence shall not create a tenancy or lease or the relationship of landlord and tenant between you and us.

Changes to your account

  • You will need to inform us of an alternative contact and details of any authorised person(s) that you wish to give access to your room.

  • You must inform us in writing of any changes to your details, your alternate contact details, your authorised persons or any storage or insurance terms that you wish to vary in the licence.

Conditions of our insurance

  • You understand that it is a condition of our self storage agreement that your goods are insured to their full replacement value whilst they are in storage and you must supply us with evidence of taking out such insurance cover. We can provide you with insurance cover under our self storage open cover policy. And that if you take out our insurance, you understand that cover does not relate to any other goods other than those securely stored in your room.

  • You confirm that the sum insured represents the full new collective replacement value of all your property stored and that you will maintain your insurance with us on this basis at all times.

  • You will notify us if at any time during your period of storage the sum insured increases or decreases and you will then pay the adjusted premium.

  • You have a right to cancel this insurance without penalty prior to the start of your storage. Once the goods are moved into our store, your right to cancel ceases and you will be charged the full fee for the insurance up until when you are next due to pay a renewal premium with us. You are free to cancel this insurance at any time subject to 7 days written notice.

  • You understand that insurance cover is accepted subject to the payment of the Total Insurance Charge and that if at any time your charges fall into arrears, the cover will be cancelled with effect from the date your charges become overdue for payment.

  • You confirm that your property does not include either any items that are prohibited for storage identified in the Customer Licence, or any items excluded under the insurance terms and conditions, unless specified by you and agreed by us in writing.

  • If you feel that you have not been offered good customer service by this insurance, you have been provided with suitable information about how to contact Crest Self Storage, the Insurers and the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Conditions of storage

  • It is Your obligation to lock and secure the Room; alarm the Room; remove Your padlock upon vacating Your Room; and keep it from unauthorised entry

  • Our obligations as to what you can store and how you can use the Room

  • Late payment charges and other additional charges payable by You for failure to pay on time

  • Our right to sell the Goods in the event of non-payment of Our Fees

  • Your obligation to check that the Room is suitable for storing the Goods

  • We do not insure the Goods. It is a requirement of our self storage agreement that your goods are insured to their full replacement value whilst they are in storage and you must supply us with evidence of taking out such insurance cover before the contract can be signed. This Condition explains Your obligation to insure the Goods and the exclusion and limitation of our liability. In particular, please note the warranties which you are providing to Us, including that the goods are not worth more than the full replacement value indicated by yourself

  • Grounds for Termination of this Licence, including the requirement to give us seven days written notice

  • Your notification to Us of any loss of or damage to Your Goods within a reasonable time period

NB: You will be billed every 4 weeks in advance for your fee.

 Recurring Transaction

  • Storage is charged on a 4-weekly basis with any non-used rental refunded back after our minimum 7 day notice period.

  • The minimum rental period is 7 days. There is no maximum rental period.

Refund Policy

  • All security deposits are fully refundable providing the storage room is in the same condition as it was first rented.

  • You will also be required to pay for 4 weeks of your storage and insurance in advance. This amount is refunded pro-rata if your storage period is shorter than 4 weeks. There is a minimum 7 day rental period.

  • We only ask for 7 days’ notice when you vacate your storage unit and we refund you any unused storage charges and insurance.

  • If we owe you money when you move out, it will be paid back to you within 14 days of you moving out.

New customers will receive 50% discount off their first 8 weeks rental price. This is available on all unit sizes and for all storage purposes (personal, student or business). Subject to minimum rental of 4 weeks. This is not a limited-time offer but a permanent introductory discount.

Available for new customers only - a person who has not been an active unit renter in last 12 months. The promotional discount is applied to unit rental prices only.

Insurance is not included in this offer. If multiple units rented, this discount is applied to total combined rental price.
